Remember to send in your gingerbread house donations and candy canes. Thank you!

Today was Christmas Tree Day for the 12 Days of Christmas. We had all kinds of activities with the theme of Christmas tree.

During math, students had a story problem dealing with a tree. They had to solve the problem and illustrate it.

During small groups every student learned about Christmas trees a long time ago and now. We compared them to see how they are the same and different. Have them tell you how they used to decorate Christmas trees.

For grammar, we continued to talk about verbs. They came up with a list of verbs that we wrote on the board. Then they came up with a sentence and another student identified the verb. To wrap up, we played a game of “I have, who has”

Our first stop on our holidays around the world trip was Scandinavia. This is a group of 5 countries. Then one we focused on was Sweden. We read a book about Sweden and will continue doing some activities with it on Thursday.
