Today we had a wonderful opportunity to have a math lesson taught by Mr. Scott. He does K-5 Mathematics Curriculum, Instruction and Intervention. Education is changing constantly and as teachers, we are trying to keep up with it. Along with about 8 other teachers, I got to observe Mr. Scott teach in a way that allowed the students to use their number sense to solve problems and communicate how they solved them. I was so very proud of my students during the lesson. They were respectful and hard working.
Today was silly hat day for Read Across America week. Tomorrow is silly socks day. The below schedule was sent home in Friday Folders last week. Take a look and let me know if you have any questions. On Wednesday, we will be having a school wide Drop Everything and Read event. For a half hour everyone in the school will be curling up to a good book and enjoying some silent reading time.
