Your child might have come home today and talked about how many tests they had to take. Unfortunately this is what comes with this time of the year. As much as I dislike giving the tests, grading the tests has been very rewarding. It is exciting to see how much the students have progressed in such little time. I can’t imagine how far they will go by the end of the year. Hats off to the students for doing so great! I look forward to talking about this with you at conferences this week and next.
Jack was our Husker prediction winner this week. These Huskers sure are keeping us on our toes at the end of the games.
In small group reading we worked on short u words and compare/contrast.
In Grammar, the students worked on sorting telling sentences and asking sentences.
We started our social studies curriculum today. The first lesson is about getting along. We read a story about two goats who don’t get along. The students got to use their interactive social studies notebook for the first time.
**** Mrs. Kozak is asking for volunteers for the book fair. It starts this week. If you would like to help out please follow the link to sign up.
